no room to live, a journey from addiction to recovery...

Shaun Pinney Studio's have recently completed work on No Room to Live, a personal reflection on the escape from addiction. We worked closely with the author on the typographic treatment for the book and using images by Carwyn Evans.

the concrete's in...

While everyone is getting all festive, we've been getting excited about concrete! It was a close call, with only an hour of sunlight to go and the temperature dropping rapidly (another half a degree colder and we'd have had problems), today saw the foundations of the new studio's get pumped in! Although it's now weather permitting when the next phase can start!

what would happen if all the bees disappeared off the face of the earth...

No-one can be sure, but there would be no more natural pollination, true we'd still have bananas and pineapples, but we'd lose any plants that bees pollinate, we wouldn't be able to make clothes out

of cotton (there would be none), medicines would be affected (most use plant extracts), animals need feed, but there would be nothing to feed them on, so no meat. Einstein once said to the same question, 'without bees there's no pollination, then no plants, without plants there's no meat, without meat there's no man... man would have only four years of life left on Earth'.

Bees have undoubtebdly been the constant in the evolution of man and have been revered for thousands of years for their ability to make honey, the earliest record of its use is in a cave painting in Valencia, dating back at least 10,000 years.

With some commercial beekeepers reporting losses of up to 90% since the end of 2006, Shaun Pinney Studios believe that everyone can have an impact in improving the re-population of bees on a global scale with Beevolution, it may be our only hope!

Shaun Pinney Studios have been appointed as the creative consultants on the development of The Living Room Cardiff, the first bilingual day-care rehabilitation centre for Wales.
