sustainability - it's what everyone's concerned with, whether they know what it means or not!
For us at Shaun Pinney Studios, sustainability is a process, not just a result, sustainability doesn’t necessarily mean using recycled or materials from sustainable forests, we’ve been doing that without thinking for a while now. It’s more than that for us, it’s the whole design process that we take.

think hard
We’ll start by thinking about what you’re actually asking us to produce, sometimes thinking laterally can come up with a solution which has a longer shelf life. We like to make our products work harder, we love thinking that little bit harder and more creatively to find sustainable solutions.

designing to last
We want do design things that last, choosing the right materials for the job. Yes, we’ll use plastics and rubber, but we’ll expect things to last a few years too!

down the road
We work hard to find the best suppliers for each job, finding good local suppliers who work ethically, helps us to avoid the unnecessary extra energy and pollution created by transportation.

doing the basics
We ensure that our office does its best to minimise paper waste (nobody’s perfect!) we’ll do as much correspondence electronically as possible and if we do print, we’ll use all waste as scrapbooks and doodle-pads and when we’re done – we recycle.

But above all we want to create design that is beautiful, clever, sustainable and works for our clients all at once while having fun along the way – hopefully our clients think so too!
